The "Biltmore Bathroom" Project: We designed this commercial bathroom renovation with 90% repurposed materials from the demolished Belleview-Biltmore Resort & Spa in Belleair, FL. The hotel was built around the same time as the building (District 3 | Arts & Events, Tampa, FL), so we wanted to keep the same feel of the era. Hotel room doors were used to make the entrance doors and dividers as well as the sink countertops. We also used original porcelain knobs that were salvaged from the hotel. The wainscoting was kept as-is and used as trim to separate the drywall from the concrete sections of the walls and to create a face for the sink counters. The minimal amount of wood we used to pice everything together was painted in the same color as the original paint on the doors. Speed rail fittings and iron pipe connect all the stalls together to tie into the warehouse feel of the venue.
